Darren is an excellent developer of people, facilitator, mentor and Coach.

He specialises in helping organisations to focus on their roles and responsibilities with the aim of developing an understanding of organisational role and individual complexity. He has helped organisations in the private, public and tertiary sectors to increase their performance through a range of interventions, covering leadership challenges, motivational management and executive 1:1 coaching.
Darren is passionate about Vertical Development! His recent clients range from working closely with a London-based university on their MBA programme to various NHS divisions; HSBC bank; Spaldings, Lincoln; many medium sized businesses, retail outlets; energy companies and more. Whether delivering a one-off workshop or designing an innovative management development programme, Darren delivers with understanding, enthusiasm and passion, and truly believes that development is about creation, not consumption.
His main personal aim is to remove himself from the Development process in order to make the experience as “clean” as possible for the client. This ethos is extended to his PhD which involves the creation of the Thinking Quotient™ as a clean profile system.
Finally, he enjoys running, golf and also teaches a Chinese martial art, which he’s been doing for over 20 years.
He is one year into a full-time research degree with Coventry University, and will run his consultancy along side his research, pulling from client profiles to aid in the research. In organisations, it is important to surround yourself with people who compliment you, not just who imitate your thinking, as opposites are often more useful in decision-making. Someone who looks for details when you are unable to is a complimentary style. Two “big picture” people would not work well in an accounts team! Also, It’s always useful to have a Devil’s Advocate, but one who is intelligent in their objections and not a hindrance to growth.
